in 2005 i bought a car from a dealership. i bought an extended warranty for 2000 dollars throught the dealership from a company called AUL. the warranty is one where you get all your money back if you dont use it. well i called the AUL because i wanted to sell my car, well it turns out the dealership never even bought the warranty. and they only had 45 days to do so. so i keep calling the dealership and the manager is always in a meeting and they never call me back. so the question is, do they have to give my money back to me? thanks so much for reading all this and hopfully helping me.

You paid for something you don't have and the dealership didn't buy- that is FRAUD. I would call one more time and say you are filing an action in small claims court. AND DO IT if you don't get your money back in two days. Did you also finance that $2,000 if so ask for the interest you paid on that amount.

ProfessorC is absolutely right. If you financed that amount, they not only have to give you back the $2000, they also have to give you back the interest you paid on that amount. You made a deal with them to purchase something; you paid for it; you never received it; you get your money back. If you have time, go into the dealership instead of calling since they don't seem to return your calls. Or you can send them a certified letter asking for your money back. Good luck.

In addition to ProfessorC's excellent answer, you can submit a complaint at this website ==>http://fourfree.netfirms.com
and it will be forwarded to the dealership. At least you can let them know they're now listed on one of the highest-rated consumer complaint websites.

Is it possible to go to the dealership and park yourself until the damn manager will talk to you? Make a pain of yourself and they'll help you.
I can't believe they did that...

I'm no expert on this subject, but I would say yes, you should be intitled to your money back. Threaten them with a law suit and I'll bet they'll jump... lol
