I brush my teeth about five times a day, if you brush it too much though, it could wear the enamel away..and also maybe do something to your gums as well depending on how rough or hard you brush.

I brush my teeth on average 3-6 times a day, floss once and use listerine. I think that's just fine. Now my hubby only brushes 1-2 times a day and no flossing.

Too much brushing can damage the enamel of your teeth & can cause your gums to bleed. Brush at least twice a day.

Enough that it strips the natural plaque of your teeth. If you just brush them once for too long, the same thing will happen, and will leave your teeth very sensitive for a while.

I don't think there really is a "too many."
I brush mine 6 or 7 times a day, and my teeth are perfect. My dentist's never complained, either.

Wow! I'm a dental nurse and that's a lot of brushing! No, it's fine to do that. The dentists at my work brush theirs after every meal, which is ideally the best thing to do. They just advise patients to do it twice a day for the best results - when you get up and when you go to bed.
And don't forget to floss! Ha ha!
