I know a lot of the formula companies are now coming out with formulas for older children, but I don't know if they are soy based. Similac has one called go and grow and I know there is an Enfimil equivalent, but I can't remember what it is called.

There are formulas out there that are labeled as "step 2" formulas. They are for babies 9-24 months and for parents who don't want to put their children on milk yet. I, personally, am not going to waste my money on those. I would just keep giving him his soy formula that you have been feeding him. It's only a week until you go to the doc. When you go to the doc, then you can set up a plan to transition him to milk. We will have the same problem, as our 10 month old twins are on soy formula.

Not really. If your doctor told you to wait to introduce milk then I would just wait until the appointment. It's just a week away. It won't hurt your son to continue on the formula he's on now. The do have pediasure for children, which is a supplement, but if your son has to have soy formula, I would wait and discuss it with his doctor.

Formula for babies over one is a marketing gimmick, don't waste your money. You can try soy milk if you are worried about cow milk.

Our local grocery store does sell Soy Milk I don't remember the name brand. Maybe look and just give him 1/2 &1/2 and see how he/she is taking it down.
