Ive had this guy friend for over a year but I moved to another state and we've kept in contact. Recently I visited him and we kissed but never talked about our feelings (as I had to head back home). Then he contacted me and I invited him to visit me. He said he'd love to once he gets some free time (he's a huge study load). Last conversation he asked how long I'm going to be around (as i'm thinking of travelling). Told him at least a few mths so he said maybe at next vacation he will visit but he's thinking of going to his parents instead (who live in another country). I told him ok & then sort of joking said that I wont invite him again! He got the joke & laughed. This is wrecking my head though. I know family is important but I feel I'm wasting my time. What do you think? Also, I'm the one who is now saying 'hi' on chat & we only talk once a wk or so. Maybe its that its so long distance its difficult. we're both single without kids. I'm much older too.

It seems like both of you are tip toeing around the subject. Youa re both older and have no idea how to date and how the dating game goes nowadays.

If I was you, I would make a date. If it doesn't pan out, then there is the answer.

Living far away and being set on your lives and ways is difficult to compromise. Is not like neither of you at this time and age will be willing to quit everything and move for the other.

Yes, there is attraction there and interest from both parts, but maybe the long distance thing is not convinient for neither of you.

Good luck

Just stay friends for a while yet. There is too much else for him to think of more and relationships when one person is in school have a high rate of failure. There is also the question of where you would live should this develop into more, the country you are in now or his parents country. when he gets through with school then will be the time to think about a relationship that is more serious and where it may take you and maybe the friendship will become more if you haven't met someone else by then. For now though, just be a friend

Move on and find someone else, this person just wants to be casual friends and he has made it pretty obvious.

You deserve better so don't wait on him, just keep him as a friend and keep looking.

Good Luck

Well, sounds like your hoping this friendship turns into something else. He on the other hand may really just enjoy the friendship, and doesn't care either way!

You've given him all the signs, and he's not chasing. Time to move on.
