In actuality, most people are released before that. In order to get the warrant in the first place, a judge's signature is required.

yes and yes. if you are under 18 years of age and/or making life threatening statements it is very easy. as far as "insane asylum" if you mean "comprehensive counseling center" for 72+ hours, then yes. The term is called being "302d"

However if you sign yourself in, they can't keep you.
