most conflict occurs not because of lies but because of truths that does not coincide with another truth. for example there are two persons facing each other in the middle the other guy holds a coin, he sees the heads, and the other sees the tails. if one says he sees the heads, and the other says he sees the tail, and they did not agree, can each other say that the other is lying? the fact is that they are both seeing the coin, the truth is they are seeing only one side of the coin...
everybody speaks of the truth, it wouldnt be different. Things have been that way, it's just that everybody does not bother to see otherwise...

international vacationing for some is a mistake with dire effects. Ever heard of the "gruesome American?" those are individuals who return and forth foreign places and act like they're nonetheless in "usa." As in a number of them have not have been given any regards for the customs or courtesies of the rustic they're traveling. those are people who you're able to need to insert your foot of their hindparts with the quickness. Edit: i could nominate here: Southern Spain South Korea Haifa Israel (screw Hamas!) Puerto Rico Japan Philippines Italy

There are two ways to look at this. It depends upon how everyone tells the truth.

We can still deceive even if what we say is technically true. The only difference in such a world is that we selfish humans would develop skills to accommodate our limitation. Given such a circumstance, not much would change at all from what we have now.

But if you take it to the extreme and remove all deception, then the world might be very different indeed. Lying in any form would be impossible. We would be forced to face the truth in all circumstances. We could not hide or rationalize our way out of anything. We would in all cases say what we feel and tell the truth. Yes, honey, that dress does make you look fat (an opinion, yes, but the truth from a certain point of view--it would be a lie to say that the dress did not make her look fat to that one person). Yes, fellow countrymen, this nation is controlled by greed and money.

Imagine the politician airing out his dirty laundry? I don't think they would stay in power for long. In fact, there would be no need for democracy. We would have a dictatorship, but a benevolent one. Such a dictator would rule the world with truth and if he or she erred (did something wrong for the people) then the people would know and rebel. Violence would still be in our nature, but society demands that we get along for the benefit of our own survival. Therefore, we would *eventually* have such a government because it is the most efficient and it would be trustworthy given the conditions of a perfectly truthful world.

People would have mush less resistance to falling in love so there would be more romance and pleasure. The informational advantage would be reduced; some people would lose their franchise, both social and monetary. Justice would increase dramatically. There would be mush less confusion in the world.

Lying is a narcotic. You notice people defending it the same way an alcoholic tells people they do not have a drinking problem.

You would have to be insane not to realize that lying is the source of vast amounts of harm in the world. The injury to the record persists long after the lie. It is the source of our demon haunted world.

The main difference in our day to day life is that less people would end up with broken hearts as there would be no players out there! You would know straight away if a guy or a girl was falling in love with you and therefore wouldn't be misled by lies or tactics designed to use you. In the business world, companies would go bust because in order to run them successfully, you need to be ruthless and this includes bending the truth or lying quite often. There would be no corruption. I can't imagine a government run by honest politicians so it is difficult to imagine a world free of liars.

It's how you say the truth is like, not what is the truth.

There would be virtually no difference. The truth is all aound us anyway. It's people's inability to ACCEPT the truth that is the problem.

If you saw Jim Carrey in Liar Liar you might get an idea. There would be complete chaos. Politicians kicked out of office, divorce rate out of sight, no place to put the additional criminals, more wars, ad nauseam!!

In your question, lies the answer. If everyone told the truth in our world, it would not be our world.
