My Dr gave me the due date or April 1st which puts me at almost 19 weeks. But the ultrasound tech says im due march 17th which puts me at like almost 21. I feel kicking if that matters, and my husband feels it too. Thanks

Next time your at the doctor they should bring it up. The ultra sound tech is probably more accurate. They go by the size and developement of the baby. Usually your doctor uses the ultra sound to confirm a more accurate due date.

As far as I know the ultrasound tech has the final word. Doctors estimate based on your last period and a sonagram. But in my experience they will readjust their due date based on what the considerably clearer high tech hospital ultrasound indicates. March 17.

The due date calculated from your last menstrual period (the one your doctor gave you) is more accurate. The measurements the ultrasound goes by are averages. Some babies are on the big side, some on the small side. I grow them big...always measure big on ultrasound...mine have come on time (so far, we'll see with #3 in a few weeks or so)...my sister's pregnancies have both measured small at 20 weeks...she came early with her 1st, we'll see about her second.

I had that happen to me but they say the very first ultrasound is the best date to go by. I was 2 days before my first ultrasound due date. I guess somewhere in between the two dates

I would go by the ultrasound date, but you should ask your doctor what he thinks. Usually the date the doctor gives you is based on your last period which is just an estimate. And it isn't always real accurate especially if your cycle isn't very regular. The ultrasound date is based on the baby's measurements and is usually pretty accurate.

Talk to your doctor about which date they go by. Sometimes doctors will adjust from the ultrasound, but often, they stick to the last menstral cycle date.
