Ignorance means 'lack of knowledge' so I don't quite understand your question. Possibly she was ignorant of her faults or, more likely, ignorant of her husbands perception of what he considered her faults to be. Didn't he have any?

When you say 'left her for her own good', what exactly does that mean?

I had an argument once with my kids mom. I called her ignorant and she was offended. I pointed out that ignorance is different from being stupid. Ignorance is not being educated and stupid is not having the capacity to learn.

ignorant can mean stupid or it can mean being rude. Some people are good at pretending and hiding like there is nothing wrong... no I don't think she was ignorant, just underestimated the man she was with.

No. Ignorant is the lack of knowledge or education (i.e. the inability to formulate a coherent sentence). the word you are probably looking for is dumbstruck or stupid.

I think it would depend on what you mean by "for her own good" are you sure it wasnt for his own good.. And no I dont think she is ignorant just because a man may think so doesn't prove anything......

A lot of ignorant people use the word incorrectly. They use it to refer to rude people when it actually means lack of knoledge. Rude people may be the smartest people ever who just don't care!

Ignorance is not being aware of the situations your face.

Stupidity is not caring.

They say "ignorance is bliss" and maybe that's the case in the example you've cited.

If she didn't see it coming and everyone else did, then that is ignorance.
