well I got married in 2003 and since then we have split up. I found out a bunch of things about this man that I did not know and now I would like to know if mine and his marriage was ever legal I found out that at one time he had a wife don't now anything more than just that. if he was married and never got a it taken care of then that would mean that his and my marriage was never raffishly right? my Q is this how would I find out about his past marriage (s) ? and would I still have to pay to have a divorce from him??

You would have to know the state he married in and then you could search public records. Otherwise you would need a private investigator.

If it is proven he was married before you and never divorced then your marriage is null and you don't need a divorce but I believe you will need an annulment to be married again. The best part is they can arrest your ex for bigamy if you file a complaint.

Good Luck

There are a number of online services for as little as $20 can give you all the information you are looking for. The only problem would be if he had a marriage in another country then left, you might not be able to. These services are connected with all the public data bases and you would be surprised what you can find out! Good luck.
