I felt shitty the few days before delivery. Maybe a week before. I felt just like you're talking about.
Ive heard other women say they felt the same before delivery.
So, at worst- your getting a virus, at best, you're going into labor soon. Its not so bad :)

The hot flashes came for a month before I was in labor, but, yes the inability to eat and sleep, as well as the lower pains are all indications that the baby is outgrowing your belly :)
When I went into labor, it felt like indigestion at first, but it came at set intervals (started every 7 minutes and then went from there). I had no idea I was in labor until they were two minutes apart, but it still feels like (for the lack of a better description) strong gas pains.
If you are able to time pains and state an interval for them, call you doctor and let him/her know that you may be going into labor... it will make it a lot easier when it's time for you to head to the hospital.
Good luck, and congrats!

sounds like you need to contact your doctor to be on the safe side. when you are about to go into labor you can have some indigestion like feelings and will go to the bath room, that is just normal and part of pre-labor. but if you feel really bad call a doctor. being so far along in a pregnancy you will feel bad, heavy, hot, moody, uncomfortable. When your body is ready to give birth you will know. You just know! Try taking a bath. It really helpped me and started my contractions moving too. I took a very long bath, warm water, lights dim. It helps relieve some of that hip pressure and pain. With in a hour my contractions sped up and I was ready to go to the hospital about 7 hours later (11pm - 6am). Try it while you are waiting for hte doctor to call you back.

Call me crazy, but your not really supposed to feel "good" at 39 weeks. That is to say, you are going to be very uncomfortable, restless etc. because you are so close to giving birth. I felt very much the same way though the day before I went into labor. Check with your doctor. It may be that you are in the early stages of labor and you could possibly be dilated as well. Nothing is more important than the health of yourself and your child. Good luck!

These could definitely be signs of your body preparing for labor, but they could also be signs of an illness like the flu or a common cold. If it becomes so uncomfortable that you can't bear it, call your doctor and get an appointment asap, otherwise, just hang in there and remind yourself that your body is doing exactly what it needs to do in order for you to have the smoothest labor and delivery possible! (Which isn't always all that smooth, but stilll... the preparations are necessary).
These are not symptoms of actual labor, unless you are experiencing contractions as well, but just your body preparing for labor, so keep in mind that there is a difference.
Congratulations on your first pregnancy, and best of luck for a fast and easy L&D when it's time! :)

Congratulations, you are on the way to having your first baby. These were my symptoms one week before having my children..lack of sleep, nausea, nasty feeling...get ready, it is getting really close. Be extemely carefull to notice ANY leaking from your vagina...sometimes the water breaks without you having contractions. Any suspect leaking...head to the ER for a check. If you have an unusuall discharge that looks like egg white and has fine spots of blood...this means you lost the clog that blocks the utherus....Don't get scared, you will see giving birth isn't such a big deal, if you are lucky you will get over this in a blink. If you will give birth naturally, remember to breathe in order to oxigenate the baby and count..count to 30-35 everytime a contraction comes...they won't last any longer. Good Luck....may God protect you and your child:)

left hip pain is normal. Especially later in the pregnancy because the baby is getting bigger and heavier, so he/she is laying on parts of your body that you did not even know could get effected by pregnancy. I can't explain the awful feeling, but the lack of sleep sounds normal. If the sickening feeling is intolerable, call the doctor and see what he/she thinks. Good luck.

Could be early labour signs...some women start to feel sick before labour hits. You're almost done in any case. Good luck!

Nausea can accompany labor, it's usually not a sign of early labor however. You might just have the flu or something. Try to rest and take it easy. Drink something cold (juice spritzer or something?) that makes your tummy feel better and try to rest. When you start having backache, diarrhea or contractions, you'll know it's time.
