To put Christmas lights up? I dont have to turn them on yet but it's supposed to be nice this weekend and I'd rather put them up when it's nice then later on when it's cold.

Have a great day!

As long as you drink while you put them up. I think there's a clause in allowed time zone for light placing if your too plowed to tell what day it is.

There are pros and cons.

If you live in a community with a home owners' association I would give them a call. There may be an iron clad policy that would not allow lights up, on or off, before a certain date.

Personally, anytime after Halloween is ok especially in the colder climates.

Hope this has been helpful.
Have a very happy holiday season with all the good things in life.

I'd say it's too early. My family almost always puts ours up the weekend after Thanksgiving, or the week right after that. November 1st is a little early, though.

Sshhh...no lights yet. Don't even want to think about that.

edit-It is the best BUT it came too early and I am not ready for the bitter cold and all that fun shopping.

i'd wait a little while longer only b/c it would suck if a squirrel or some other animal was to chew through the wires and then you'd have to get out and do it all over again...but do as you wish just don't turn them on yet

Now is the perfect time....Cause Thanksgiving is going to come up on us quick and then you got all the Christmas stuff to worry about...Do it now while you can take your time and it's one less worry later....You can sit back and enjoy your lights and watch everyone else scrambling to get theirs up.....lol

If it's not cold then it's not the same. You are supposed to freeze while putting them up, it's tradition!
