I was home sick from school & a bulletin came on TV
Um...statenislanddreamer: respectfully, "Sesame Street" premiered in 1969. Kennedy was shot in November 1963

I think some people who CLAIMED to have been around when Kennedy was assassinated in 1963, were not, especially the idiot who stated he was home watching Sesame Street. Sesame Street was not even on in 1963! Personally, the only thing I recall is that I was in grade school (6th grade), it was raining, and the principal came in and announced it to the class. Then, the weekend was spent watching the procedings on television, we all went back to school the following Tuesday, and Thanksgiving commenced on Thursday. Then life went on.

I was in Junior High School, leaving the cafeteria after lunch, when I heard about it. Since there were no TVs in our school, an announcement was made over the school's PA system.

I was in PE when they announced it over the loudspeakers. Then we went to study hall and watched TV the rest of the day.

I was in my first year of high School and we were exercising in Gym class when the teacher told us. As we left school (they let us out early) there were all the kids crying and holding each other, even the boys. I cried a river!!
