Are you the kind of person who thinks Halloween is an evil holiday and try to avoid it?.

I mean think about it, it might have pagan roots, but you must remember that the days of the week are named for pagan gods, the months of the year are named after pagan gods.

Santa Claus is pagan too. We are living in America, this is not a society of taboo. Look at Islamic countries, turists get killed for giving gifts to kids.

N.1. Halloween is an extremly fun holiday for kids and adults alike.
N.2. Dressing up is fun and it is something you do once a year, it breaks the routine.
N.3. Nobody gets hurt, by logic something is evil when it hurts somebody.
N.4. It promotes socializing, if you stop your kids from doing Halloween they will get picked on and laughed at.

Do you still think Halloween is an evil Holiday?

Free candy and dressing up like you've just escaped from an asylum... what's evil about that?

It depends on how you celebrate it and what you believe in. My uncle hates halloween, he is Christian. I consider myself Christian also, my son goes to a lutheran preschool and they have a halloween parade and celebrate it. They ask the parents not to dress up the kids as devils, but i can understand that. It is suppose to be a fun holiday for kids and parents to enjoy and socialize. But not all people believe that, some people do think its an evil holiday and do other things, they celebrate the evil in it. It just depends. I hate people who say halloween is evil, its only evil if you make it evil, if you worship the devil and do weird stuff then, yeah its evil. But i believe you can please God and celebrate it at the same time.

Halloween is not an evil holiday, because paganism is not evil. I, for one, love pagan stuff and halloween, though I dislike the commercialized version of it they have in America. And I disagree, America is a society of taboo. Sex ed for kids in high school, that actually teaches something? Gays and lesbians being out and not harrassed? Gays and lesbians being allowed to marry? Weed being legal?
That's a society with few taboos. (Happy to live in it! Go Holland!)

And I totally agree with your neatly numbered reasons :)
