Matthu Aryan is a name that will get him picked on for life. Matthu will sound like "math-oo" and Aryan will make him sound like a Nazi. Matthew Ryan sounds good as it is.

Um, I'd consider that far more racist than "original," to be quite honest. Aryan is LITERALLY a term used to describe those who practice the inherently stereotypical and often abusive (to those NOT of "the Aryan Race") belief in ethnic superiority -- Aryans, to them, being considered the highest race of peoples, and all others inferior.
It seems both ignorant and selfish to do this to a child to try and make an obviously common name somehow unique. At the very least, it's quite poorly-thought-out. Especially since you intend to pronounce "Matthu" exactly like Matthew anyway, meaning the name itself will be seen as no more "original" ... only misspelled.
There are, after all, actual foreign forms of Matthew that would be less common in general.
Maitiu - the Irish version, said MAT-yoo
Matthieu - French form said ma-TYU
Mateo - Spanish
Matteo - Italian
Mathis - German and French short form of Matthias
Matvey - Russian form said maht-VYAY
Honestly, there's no need to make one up.

I think if you want to be 'different' you should go with Matteo. I don't like Matthew spelled 'Matthu'.... it looks incomplete and honestly I think alot of people would pronounce it 'matt- who' instead of 'Math-hue'. Matteo is the italian form of Matthew, and I don't hear it much at all. and I would stick with Ryan or Orion in the middle. hope that helps.

i think that the first way you spelled it is pretty common (matthew ryan), but spelling it the other way looks like it is misspelled (not to mention, think of how often it would be spelled the wrong way by others). The more common way looks and sounds better I think. Kudos for trying to be original though!

I don't like the name Aryan. Besides, the kids might think he's some kind of neo-nazi.

Instead of Matthu, how about Mathieu (french spelling of matthew...) That's a unique alternate spelling, and people might give you less greif over it.

I don't mind the middle name but I would leave the Matthew spelling alone.

its cute. almost a little Too original... i guess its the spelling. it almost looks like u just didn't know how to spell it. that could be embarrassing to him later on in life. depending on your ethnicity. if he was gonna be half Arabic or Indian or something no one would think much of it :)
