Take a b6 vitamin 25ml three times a day. Same time every day, without fail. After about a week it will seriously stop the sickness.

Saved my butt.

Chew a flintstones, and eat fortified cereal, you'll get enough of what you need.

According to my doctor, the additional iron in prenatals can add to the nausea. He said that any vitamin that offers the 400mcg of Folic Acid will work up until about 4 months of pregnancy. After 4 months, you need more of the vitamins and should be taking prenatals. Talk to your doctor or the nurse to make sure that's an option for you.

*You can take Flintstone vitamins--that helps when the other prenatals all make you sick.
*Try taking them at night, that helps a bunch!!
*Also, for the nausea, my dr had me take 25 mg of B-6 along with 1 unisom tablet...it helped me relax so that i was able to sleep and not wake up so sick i was puking before i could get out of the bed.

Good luck, and Congratulations on the pregnancy!

Try a whole food supplement, they supply real vitamins rather than synthetic and work with your body better. I like coral calcium with some blue green algae. The calcium supplies calcium and several trace minerals while the algae supplies tons of B vitamins and chlorophyl which is considered a meal in itself...a manner of speaking.

I take my prenatal right before I go to bed. It seems to work. You'd have to talk to your doctor but my sister-in-law had to take 2 chewable kids' vitamins everyday instead of the prenatals cause they made her too sick and she was getting dehydrated.

I'm unable to swallow the pills so I take Natachews and the doc can write you a prescription and you can get it at most pharmacies. Have you tried flintstones? You just have to check back of prenatals and the chewables to see how many u need to take to equal the prenatals...flintstones you need to take 2 to make up for one pill.

My doctor advised me to take Prenatal vitamins with white or choc milk, and it really helped me. I have a problem swallowing pills as it is, but the milk really helped. Make sure youdon't skip out on those vitamins, tho. VERY important!!

One suggestion I was given was to take the vitamin right before bed at night...then if you get nauseous, you'll be asleep and likely not really notice it, but the vitamin will still be in your system...worth a shot.

I have heard of many women taking Flintstones vitamins, but I personally just take mine right before bed and don't get sick from them anymore. You should speak to your Dr. though, they should know more tricks.

good luck!
