I am 38 weeks pregnant. Last night I had a small gush of fluid come out of my vagina. Since then I have been having little trickles of this clear fluid (I'm thinking amniotic fluid?) and some spotting.
I have tried to look up information about these two things, and each site I have read has said something different.
I haven't been experiencing any frequent contractions, but could this be a sign that labor is coming SOON? I thought I'd ask some woman who have already experienced this and get their opinion. Please & thankyou!

it could just be mucus coming out, its possible if u recetly had sex or have been walking a lot that thats what it is.
sinc y r 38 weeks its possible ure uterus is shaping itself for giving birth, congradulations!!!!!!!!!
i gave birth at 39 weeks, my son is 2 days old:)

Your water probably broke, you need to call the doctor and go to the office or the hospital. I know you said your contractions are irregular but your water can break and you could not have/ do not feel contractions. It's important to see a doctor because you should have the baby within 24 hours of losing your amniotic fluid as this is the only thing keeping your baby safe.

Don't wait any longer, if you are losing amniotic liquid, your baby;s life may be at risk, go to the ER as soon as possible for a check.

sounds like your water broke or has a leak, and you need to be in the hospital for that, youare 38 weeks so you are considered full term, they baby should be fine but you need to get to your dr as soon as possible.

sounds like your water probably broke!! you should contact your doctor right away and head to the hospital. If it is indeed your water they will want you to deliver within 24 hours to avoid possible infection.

your water could be leaking without you having the contractions. you still need to get to the doc so they can tell what to do because you only have so long after your water actually breaks before infection can set in.

Since you are leaking fluid, you have to go in. My fluid slowly trickled out but was constant. Please do not wait, go in and get checked.
