Is it bad to hold it in for an hour during pregnancy 8wks. Sometimes it hurts a bit cuz i rly gotta go but cant. my teachers also dont know im preg. and cant know until i actually tell my parents. I just want to know if this is bad for me or the baby?

Yes. Holding your pee for so long can cause you to get a urinary tract infection.

Yes it is. The baby urinates in your bladder, so not only are you holding your own waste, but also the baby's. You can also run the risk of causing a urinary tract infection. I had lots of them when pregnant with my son and I was like you had to hold it. Besides being under stress at the time, the infections brought on early labor. I was on bedrest for a month before I had my son. And after so long, you are no longer able to take meds to cure the infection due to the fact that it could harm your baby. I would see if you can get a note from your doctor that is very discreet if you want nobody to know right now that would excuse you to the bathroom when you need to go. This way the teachers can't say anything because you have a medical reason.

You are not supposed to hold your urine in when you are pregnant. You actually should never do this, as it may cause a urinary tract infection. You need to take care of yourself as best as possible while you are pregnant, and holding it in isn't going to help any. As far as your teachers not knowing, is there a counselor at your school that you can talk to? Perhaps you can confide, confidentially in her, and she can get you some sort of pass to give to your teachers that will allow you to go to the restroom when you really need to go. If you haven't told your parents yet, have you gone to the doctor at least? Be sure to take care of yourself, honey. It is best for the baby and for you. If you can, try to take some prenatal vitamins. You can get them at a Target or Walmart for very inexpensive, and you don't need a prescription or anything. It'll help you and the baby to be healthier! Good luck!!

It's never good to hold your pee in, whether you're pregnant or not. You'll reach a point in your pregnancy where you won't be able to hold it! If you don't pee as soon as you have to go, you will pee your pants! I think the bigger issue here is that you're still in school and you're pregnant...so you're obviously very young. You need to tell your parents as soon as possible. You need prenatal care before the end of your first trimester (so before 12-13 weeks).

Holding your pee during or not during pregnancy is bad. In both cases your are prone for infection. But in pregnancy infections can cause harm to the fetus even causing early labor. So as much as you can try to go to the bathroom on time.

yes holding your pee can cause you to get infections like a uti,or bacterial infection because when you hold your pee for so long its almost like youre holding in bacterial in your vagina that can go up and cause these types of infection that also makes your bladder weak from holding it over and over like that because if you was to get a bacterial inf. you would need to be treated for that because it can cause you to have a premature baby.o and tell your parents so you can start getting the prenatal care visits etc.and all of the things you need doing your pregnancy and i remember when i was in school i used to walk out of the classrooms all the time when the teachers would tell me no but i never got in trouble becuz they shouldnt stop you from going to the bathroom if youre pregnant or not

they(docs) tell you not to hold your pee during pregnancy. you can get a urinary tract infection and if that goes untreated it can spread to your kidneys, which is bad for you and not so good for baby. just tell your teachers you have a urinary tract infection and you "gotta pee when you gotta pee" and if they dont want a lawsuit they will let you go. if they dont, then go anyway its your health, id try not to be disrespectful about i would definatly risk an angry teacher than a uti, you dont have to live with the angry teacher.

You probably aren't doing too much harm right now, being only 8 weeks...but pretty soon with will NOT be able to holed it that long...no matter how hard you try, it will leak out.
Later, you will be squishing the baby when you'r e bladder is full. Right now, they have plently of room in the uterus...but later there will be less and less room and they will be pushing harder on your blatter.
I would tell your parents and your teachers as soon as possible.

Yes. It strains your bladder even more, and can compound stress incontinence. Have a talk with someone at school (teacher/counsellor/etc) about this so that you can be excused when you need to. Even get your doctor to write a note if that helps.

You need to tell your parents ASAP. The earlier they know, the more time you'll give them to accept this. It will come as a big shock to them.
