The ribbon is symbolic of the prize winner or award, and also a decoration to be worn in the hair.

I would say Mr. Morris' composition is based on imagery that the ultimate prize of love he has for his chosen one is based in heaven, and they were destined by a divine purpose to be together like this.

I am always mesmerized by how beautiful the melody is on that wonderful song. Thanks for asking.

I am quite aware of the song. It is an oldie. It says black skinned people (like Mr. Wonder) and white skinned people (like Mr. McCartney) can live together in harmony.
