There are usually more than one species of beetle larva (white grubs) that infest lawns depending upon where you live. Milky spore is a naturally occurring bacteria that will control (though not completely) Japanese beetle. If you want a non-chemical control for all white grubs, then look for beneficial nematodes. Nematodes can also help control surface bugs like cutworms, sod webworms & chinch bugs. Look for Steinernema carpocapsae for chinch bug control & Heterorhabditis bacteriophora nematodes for white grub control. Irrigate your lawn before & after you apply nematodes because they need moist conditions. Also, apply when outside temps are moderate and soil temps are over 55 degrees F.

I guess Al Gore has visited your city and decided you are destroying the ozone or causing global warming. I guess your only other option would be to burn your grubs and the bugs.
Good Luck!!!

Your city is only banning the bad chemical ones, not all of them. There are still plenty of options, your local store will have them all on the shelves now.
