"...if you indulge in a cyber sex affair ?"
You've answered your own question. If cheating still means having sex outside of your spouse's consent, than any form of sex would be considered cheating. But relationships are negotiated. I doubt your spouse would like the idea of sex online or in real life.

Yes. In my opinion infidelity (or monogamy for that matter) is a state of mind. If you feel OK about indulging in this then where will it lead.
You should be asking yourself "Would my wife think that a cyber sex affair is cheating"..that's your answer. Or what if your wife was doing this? How would you feel?

Considered by whom? The law, the neighbors, famous theologians?
The essence of "cheating" is deceit—giving sexual time and energy to someone without your spouse's approval. Ask your spouse if he/she/they care about cyber-sex. If they consider it cheating, it is.
On the other hand, some spouses prefer a "don't ask, don't tell" policy, which you will also have to clarify with yours.
In short, if you feel guilty, then you are probably cheating.

If you are married, then, Yes....Indulging in sex of any nature relates to cheating........So if you are doing that, what is your spouse doing?. Maybe your spouse is your cyber sex partner! How funny would that be? What goes around, comes around they say.....

I've found that most women would say Yes.
In fact, I know a guy whose wife left him because of his cyber affairs. He never touched anyone else, but she thought it was cheating, and she wasn't going to put up with it.

I believe it is wrong... please note this is only my opinion.
I think that although you may not be cheating physically you are mentally. I think that it is just as wrong as if you were meeting up with someone at a hotel. You are not only focusing on another person sexually but you are dedicating time which you could spend with your wife to a complete stranger.
I have always felt that if one isn't committed in body mind & in spirit to the one you marry you are not committed at all.
Look at wat you are refering to is as "Cyber Sex Affair" you are accepting that you are having a affair.
Come clean to your self and revalutate your feelings and the importance your wife and family have for you.

Yes....you may not have been physical in person, however, you are cheating by having a relationship with another person even if it is online. You are having an emotional affair at the very least.

Yes...think about it. How would you feel if you caught your spouse having an online affair ? It's still cheating.

To me it sure would be.
Put yourself in her place...would you feel she was cheating on you if she were doing the same thing?
I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like it. Besides, it's just one step closer to having an affair.
Anytime you are that intimate with another person, and you are married, it's a form of cheating.
I suggest you stop it now before it breaks up your home.
Good luck.

absolutely it doesn't matter if you only talking online it is still cheating because you are forming a relationnship of a sexual nature outside your current relationship if you feel the need to just experiment with cyber sex do so with your current partner if you really want to spice it up have your gf/bf log on under an assumed name but if you just want to stray you need to let your partner out of the situation
