My Uncle was in a Motorcycle accident in 1998 several yards from home. His wife declined a trust that his job wanted to set up for his rehabilitation. Then shortly after filed for divorce because he was in her words "not the same man she married."
My family has been taking care of him since this time. We have never felt that he was in any way a burden and still do not. His doctors have advised us that now he needs an upgrade for his wheelchair. This will cost several thousand dollars and we can't afford it at this time. We are just looking for some Organizations that will help us to fund the upgrades. We are not looking for any money just the upgrade of equipment that he needs. In what ever form it can be provided.

I live in Alabama and he exceeded the ONE MILLION DOLLAR lifetime limit for his insurance shortly after the accident. SSI doesnt cover this.

I would try your state official and even check into state programs that fund disabled persons and care. If this was an accident doe's he not have insurance monies he would have gotten.? Check with hospitals they may be able to help you find the organizations that could help you find what you need or atleast get some of the funding required.

Best Wishes and Good Luck.
