I just installed the unit in my basement because there is no ventilation at all.

The duct leads outside my house.

I want to check the air movement in my 10x10 basement space.

What is the best way to do this?

You can make a simple manometer to get an idea of the vacuum pressure created in the duct. Or you can buy one like the "easy read dynameter" (I'm not pushing product - it's just the kind of manometer I have on my radon remediation system)

You could rent or buy a meter that measures CFM of airflow. CFM= Cubic Feet per Minute.
Or you could light a piece of paper on fire and see if the smoke moves out fast enough for you.

Build a fire in your basement and see if the fan draws out the smoke. Good luck.

You could light and carry around a stick of incense. This way you could see how the fan works in different areas.
