I was about 30 minutes ago. I was just in the grocery store and while walking around the bakery section a little kid started giggling when he busted me singing...
*blushing*
"Faithfully" by Journey.
Now it wasn't that loud, but I didn't even realize I was until he saw me. Have you ever done this before? What song were you caught singing?

Bloody Hell - I know exactly what you mean! Some stores around here always have great music playing when I'm there. Other stores...not so much.

lovnrckets - a little laughter at my expense is OK. And unless someone tracks down the person(s) who were with you at this NIN show, I guess it never happened. :)

Not as bad as mine, I was in my Quantitative Analysis class and it's usually really noisy cause you have a lot of stuff going on and me and my friend always find ourselves singing to each other over the desks. Well.... this time we were singing Foreigner's Feels Like the First Time (hahahaha) and the my teacher suddenly burst out laughting cause she heard us. It's more funny if you saw us.... with our chem goggles on, and a bunch of beakers and chemical reactions occuring. Man, I love that class.

Happiness and satisfaction absolutely require EFFORT, STRUGGLE, and SACRIFICE. doesn't matter how long you've been married. When you haven't put an effort into something it is never satisfying and doesn't cause you happiness long term. You will only be happy if you put effort into your relationship every day, and if you find someone who does the same. Unfortunately our society is rotten with ENTITLEMENT and LAZINESS, especially in relationships. These are the greatest enemies of satisfaction and happiness. The very idea of 'happily ever after" smacks of entitlement. In other words a lot of women believe that once marriage happens the game is over and they're now entitled to love and commitment without effort. Marriage is neither a guarantee of security nor does it mean you have to stop working and sacrificing for your relationship the same way you did before marriage.

Not really, at least if I have I haven't really noticed (I'm kind of a space cadet like that), but I did get in a fight with the teleprompter once when I got too drunk for karaoke and forgot the third verse to Darling Niki, swearing that the teleprompter was lieing and I "had the tape at home to prove it."

by the way, is there anything more frustrating and depressing than the politics section of this place? Man, harsh realm.
*********
(insert smile face) I think I may have to demoted back to just professor. It's a dog eat dog world in there and I felt like one of those little dogs that has the faces that looks like a bat (I'm not good with breeds). To sum up, people are jerks, the extremists run the internet, and people are nuts. Oh yeah, and they're jerks.
****************
I appreciate it. That made me smile. But it's like R&S very few people are really interested in actually passing forward useful information and having calm discussions. For the most part of a bunch of people going " you're an idiot" "oh yeah well you're stupid" "you hate america" "no, you hate america" "you're wrong, in your face." I didn't post much, but I read a lot and it was pretty depressing. Then I felt my opinions getting sharper and I knew it was time to get the hell out of there. I literally felt myself becoming less reasonable.

I get caught doing that a lot. I sing when I do everything, be it real songs, or songs I make up about what I'm doing. Just the other night I was in Wal-mart getting candy for Halloween, it was like 2am so it was pretty empty. I was looking and started singing Cemetery Polka in my best Tom Waits voice, I guess I was a little louder than I thought. An associate peeked around the corner and looked at me. She gave me a strange look, she probably thought I was nuts, but I told myself she was just amazed at my Tom Waits.

Ha I was at a summer camp making a rubber band car awhile back. I had the urge to sing that one Janet Jackson song, I think called All For You. I started singing the beginning "All the girls in the party.." There were some african american kids near me, and they looked up and shook their heads. Out of all the songs in the world to sing, for some reason I chose that one.

Yea,all the time but I don't care....they are just humans.
But check this out.....I seriously got "busted" for singing in a public rest area restroom. I went to jail and everything. Some old lady thought I was a threat so called the cops. I was just minding my own business singing happily James Taylor "Fire and Rain" and she got all scared. Freaky!
I thought this was a Free World!

Me and that little kid would have shared a good laugh in the bakery section. :-)
I'm not prone to public outbursts of song, although I've heard rumors that I was mouthing some of the words during the last NIN concert I attended. Personally, I don't believe it ever happened.

Haha, yep.
I was with a girl in Camden, and we were walking past a store when i heart "Sweet Child O' Mine" was playing.
I dragged her in and I just stood in the store and pretended to look at clothes while trying not to break out into song... but it didn't work. Pretty soon i was singing along ["whoa oh oh ohhh sweet child o' miiine"] and i noticed two of the floor assistants were staring at me with weird grins on their faces..
I was so embarrassed.
Meanwhile, the girl i was with was just standing there bemused.
This is just one of many examples.
Learn some self control Kamilah.

I usually make a big scene when I sing ridiculous songs. But, I did get caught singing Promiscuous by Nelly Furtado when I was beating on the heavy bag at the gym. If I was sparring, I probably would have gotten my bell rung pretty hard.
