i was just wondering because i read someone say here that he thinks a troll can be someone who is just sarcastic or mean. In my mind, I thought of trolls to be people who harass and stalk people here. Can you give a clearer definition of a TROLL here. (i'm not talking about fairies, dwarves etc ... the trolls im referring to are fellow y!a people)
I was concerned because i might have unknowingly become considered a troll by some people because of some sarcastic or green or mean remark i might have given in the past.

A Troll is an answerer who posts messages in order to provoke an angry response or to start trouble without adding anything worthwhile to the conversation. Most trolls are created by some of the regular answerers who got a hidden jealousy or hatred to other Y!A answerer but just too coward to face them or afraid that their Y!A account will be deleted and reported when they harass other answerers. But hey! Not all trolls are that bad some are really hilarious and are created to amuse other people. <*-*>

Believe it or not, not all Trolls are bad. Some are funny and cause no trouble whatsoever.
Then there is "Them" they who post answers and questions with the intent of upsetting someone or everyone with ridiculous,racist or stupid remarks.
With this new reporting system they do not generally last very long.
Your profile does not meet my criteria to make you a Troll.

I myself have been known to be sarcastic ,even a little mean (hopefully in an entertaining and creative way). Certain posters seem to be begging for abuse. They are either so stupid as to be a threat to other living organisms or ugly bigoted nasty racists who deserve what they get.
I am not a fan of "flaming", calling people names and attacking them personally, but on occasion an idiot racist needs to hear the truth.
There is no way to make everyone like you. There will always be people who will not like you or your style. Remember Papa Chuck's good advice: RESPECT yourself; RESPECT others and take RESPONSIBILITY
As to the definition of a TROLL....I consider TROLLS to be immature troublemakers who stalk and try to irritate other members. The BEST thing you can do is ignore them. It makes them crazy to be ignored.

Bad trolls are bad people. Y/A regulars want to keep the place interesting, nice and beautiful. These bad trolls always try to dirty up the place. That is why I'm here. Your trash can man. To get em and throw em in here and stomp on em, and hey! All is Quiet on the Western Front!
Nice colorful avatar, you got, Ken. Yeah. That's one thing, too. Trolls usually have shady avatars. Kinda spooky answering a shadow, you know. While with beautiful, cute ones - like Ms.Felicity's, you feel like inspired to answer. Of course, with an avatar like mine, which is forever Holloween, I can't say the same thing.

I consider a troll someone who makes really mean comments, for no reason, and swears, and says they want to hurt children, or animals...and talks about other nationalities in a derogatory way...or mentions "Hitler", and says he was right. Why can't we all be nice? I don't consider you a troll if I ask a question, and you answer it in a silly way...I might even give you the ten points!

a troll is someone who is sarcastic and sometimes mean. My boyfriend sometimes trolls world of warcraft forums, only because stupid people piss him off.
you dont seem like a troll so I wouldnt worry :)

trolls - nasty, nasty people whose only goal is to make our lives here at YAP miserable
trolls - constipated people who are so irregular they are so jealous of us regular YAPpers
trolls - those idiotic people visiting our playground (this section) and making trouble
