The easiest and most common type of surgical abortion, vacuum aspiration, can be done up to twelve weeks.... and that is twelve weeks after conception, so typically 14 weeks after the last menstrual period. A medical abortion can't be done after nine weeks.
A somewhat more complicated type of abortion can be performed up to 24 weeks, but there are fewer practitioners who perform that type of abortion. After that point there's almost no chance of getting an abortion unless continuing the pregnancy is actually going to kill you.

Each state has their own laws with it, but generally, they won't go past 14 weeks in most states. Some will go to 24 weeks without a valid medical reason.
Check in your local Yellow Pages phone book. Most of the adds will tell you.

you can be like 24 weeks and hve a abortion, but the longer you wait, the more dangerest it is. My friend had one when she was 5 months and she was physically and emotional distraught.

i know from personal experience that they do it past 12 weeks. i live in canada and we may have different laws than the US but they will do it up to 5 months but it costs alot and you have to travel out of province to have this done
