The program on my computer is just called Chess. I can beat it in 12 moves right now.

It actually depends on how good you are and if you are purposely trying to do a quick checkmate. However, there is a 5 move, sorry, I don't know it, but maybe the grandmaster program will fall 4 it...doubt it though.

The average game takes 20-60 moves. Sorry for the wide range, maybe 25-55 is better.:) Computer, strong human, same thing.

which program are you using. 3 i know of.
all three when first set up can be beaten in 5-7 moves. depending on you counter move.
remember the computer learns your moves as you play against it and documents your pattern.

assuming you mean "level" not "lever"
assuming you are good enough to beat it, because of the way it works, probably 30-40 moves.

it varies with your game plan...it can take as many as 25 to 100 depending on how well you play and what your opening is.
