Capable of playing games? Yes, every computer is capable of playing some games.

To know for sure if it will play the game you want, you would need to tell us what kind of game you are referring to. Keep in mind that "Pong" is a game, and EVERY computer can play pong.

Capable of playing new, graphic intensive games at acceptable framerates, high quality and decent resolution? Probably not.

There is an optional upgrade to the Geforce 8400go video adapter that you can get in the laptop, but the 8400 go is not a Great video adapter. It is good for a notebook, but not good overall.

Notebooks are generally not built for gaming. If you want a computer primarily to play video games, you would be MUCH better off buying a desktop. Not only from a performance standpoint but also from an upgrade standpoint.

You will not be able to upgrade the laptop if you want to play newer games. A desktop offers many options for upgrades.

Since the dawn of time computers have been able to play games... well not the dawn of time, or even the dawn of computers but....

yeah. You get me. Even those big stupid 1960s room-sized computers could play number games with you.

So asking that is a silly, or at least too broad a question.

the new M1330 should be able to handle your gaming needs for a couple years. Assuming it has a Dx10 capable graphics card of course. Even if not (Dx9) you'll still have plenty of fun with it.
