It takes as long as you let it. Sometimes the hurt seems so much bigger than us, it's quite daunting to ever imagine we won't feel swamped by it. But every day it gets a little bit tinier until one day you and it are the same size, and then every day after that it gets a little bit smaller again until the day comes when it's manageable.
if it makes it any easier I'll save you all the pink and yellow ones for the next six months.

It's a cliche but time is the great healer. However, I think it is better not to look ahead but to take it day by day. Try and keep occupied so that you don't brood too much. You will have good days and bad days, but eventually you will wake up one morning and find that the hurt has gone. Take heart in the knowledge that if we didn't get over grief and hurt we simply couldn't function. We do though. Someone we both know calls it the bounceability factor!!

I guess it just depends. My boyfriend and I have dated twice, this times the second. We broke up for like 8 monthes and neither of us got over each other.. And we tried dating others but it never went anywhere.. But this time it's much better..

I'm sorry you have to go through it. I hope it gets easier for you, also. Just try to spend time with people to get your mind off of it. I always kept busy, I think that's the best thing you can do.

=)

It depends on a lot of things. How long were you together and things like that. Try to think about other things and move ahead. It will get easier as time goes by. How long? Sorry, I don't know.

it's not measureable to me. In time, it will get easier to accept and then eventually it will just be a part of your memory and I hope pleasant. I had a boyfriend that I absolutely fell head over heels for and he crushed me. guess we obviously didn't feel the same thing. he's still in my mind and I think of him once in a while. sometimes a certain song will trigger me to think of him. it does get easier.

Time heals all pain. The more time that passes - the easier it will become.
