So let me understand, you are desperate, suicidal and at the end of your rope. You ask for help and when people respond you reject it because it come in the form of the bible. I do not know what damage has been done, but God's word stands on it's own. People will fail you, but once you are in God's grace you will never be alone.

A book of poetry or you could try to write your own thoughts down sometimes that helps.

Also the bible book of Psalms has a really good positive message even if you aren't religious if you want to check it out.

My "Fitness" magazine has some great suggestions on being healthy in mind and body - they really do work

The Secret. Its a book and a movie.

There are also books by Tony Robbins who is a motivational speaker, very powerful. Tony Robbins is an accomplished motivational speaker, some people who read his books and go to his conventions and seminars are UFC fighters, real estate agents, and other people in sales, or who just need personal uplifting.

Half of the people i know have read The Secret and Tony Robbins books and they are my successful and happy groups of friends.

As far as non-fiction a book that helped me was Naomi Judd's survival guide.

As far as fictional books The five people you meet in heaven by Mitch Alboom is a good one to. It taught or reminded me not to let go of the people in my life.

Both books forced me to take a look at my life and reaccess the path I was on, because I was miserable. Currently I'm in therapy and I'm sure I'll have more to share down the road.
