I believe you're right! At least, they are in my family. My parents were recently cremated, and now my sister and my brother-in-law are talking about doing the same. It's sure a lot cheaper than buying a cemetery lot and casket!

I just saw something on the History Channel yesterday (Halloween =O) about burial methods and it did say that cremation is getting more popular, it is against some religions so that may make it not a choice for everyone. My Aunt who has passed, and my sister and brother-in-law who are alive, have donated their bodies to science for research or whatever purposes, that creeps me out a bit for some reason.

I don't know if it's more, but everyone in my family wants to be cremated.
I don't want to be worm food, I don't want to waste space with a gravesite. Earth is for the living and I won't need a body when I'm dead.

Absolutely. Cost is a big issue. People just don't always have the money for a big funeral, coffin, etc. Plus that way we can keep Uncle Henry on the mantle... :)

It's the only way to go. The alternative is such a waste of money and land.
