I know he won the Monster Mash Battle Royale on ECW this past Tuesday night & he was imressive during that match, but why does he call himself the Silverback?

As some have mentioned, the silverback is a gorilla. They're large adult males, are strong and leaders (they literally lead a group of gorilla's and make all the decisions for the group).
So I guess since Mark looks a bit like a gorilla in terms of size, and he's strong - then I guess the name 'fits'.
