all these places have their own disadvantages to them. Just because you live in a high class area doesnt mean you're safe as trouble can follow you or already be in there. Sometimesthe trouble is caused by the upper class kids or adults, out of boredom or curiousity etc
Earthquakes , can destroy belongings and kill some people and even cause the fires.
Crime ridden areas can have troubles like everywhere else.
I lived in a places filled iwth drug dealers and other sorts of troubles like prostitution , I had a few close calls but came out unhamred and learned a lot in that area. Nowhere on the planet has a totally safe place.
So for me I'd just be comfortable in a little quiet area, meaning no busy roads, or heavy traffic for businesses, Which is something I was near most of my life. Now I'm in a little neighborhood with a quiet feeling about it, However we still get the ocassional troubles, but not always.

I live in "fire and earthquake ridden" California. Not all places are crime-ridden. We might have crime but at least not those Waco-types! I will stick with the beautiful Cali weather any day..no hot and muggy and buggy Texas..no thanks.
