yes it should be a personal thing, but at the same time there is freedom of speech that is how come people can try and do this. you can chose not to listen, that's the nice thing about at least being able to chose whether or not to take in what is being said.

I agree with you, Religion is a thing that should be entirely separate from any government.
I can understand where you are coming from but I also believe that you should be open to other ideas, but that you should be the one to seek them out.
A few times on the train in the morning theres been a guy that starts shouting about Jesus on the train, these are the ones that really get to me, they are trying to force their beliefs on others by preaching to a trapped audience.

I agree religion is a personal thing, but I've been having Christianity slammed down my throat since day one. I've had to listen to Christian prayers at every football game and graduation I've attended, and I haven't complained. Christians don't want the beliefs of others slammed down their throats but it's okay when the government slams Jesus down the throats of non-Christians. Here in the U.S. Halloween was greatly toned down because Christians think it's a devil worshipper's holiday.

Because they have to understand yours......
If people want to live in harmony then they should all understand and respect each others belief and religions.
But i, for one, am sick of the authorities and the BBC forcing other religions down my throat every single day.
I'm not a religious person and i don't believe in God/Allah/Buddha or any so called God so why should i have to listen to people who i voted for and whose wages i pay forcing Gods upon me?
If a man wishes to follow a religion then that is their choice but don't try to force your religion onto others.

You don't have to understand it unless you should want to. But you need to respect everyone else's religion. And yes, you are quite right, religion should be a personal thing.

I agree the government should stop interferring.
I don't like this countries attitude from government on immigration and dealing with other cultures.
This is England, we are a Christian country and if others wish to live here they need to abide by our laws and respect our customs. The government are all one way traffic, it is bound to cause friction when its unecessary.
THERE ARE TOO MANY PEOPLE COMING IN - IT IS UNSUSTAINABLE......that is plain FACT

Then dont get involved. Some people are interested, some people out of respect want to understand what others believe in. You dont have to read or listen to anyone who is talking about another religion if you dont feel the need to.

We do have to understand....we have to respect and demand that they respect ours.
I am not a religious person but I respect if they are not offencive. I offer no respect of those religious followers like Phelps.

You don't have to know about it or understand it. You just have to accept that they have their religion and you have yours. I totally agree with you.
