If so, what effect does it have on you and your relationship?

Since some of you asked: Domestic Discipline is correcting one's spouse's faults through corporal punishment.

As I live in a full time Master/slave relationship, obviously there is quite a bit of CONSENSUAL discipline, among other things that take place in our relationship dynamic. Did I mention that this consensual, that we have extremely open communication, and that it is not abusive?

Domestic discipline in any other context is abuse because it has not been agreed upon and consented to.

I think that it is a great way to live if you have a dominant woman who can not only make her wishes known but have them met. She should always be in charge and when the man messes up a good paddling is in order. Men never really grow up and constantly need good discipline. A man who recognizes this and consents to be disciplined by the woman in his life is a very good man indeed.

Which form do you refer? If you are talking about slapping the bejeezus out of your spouse for burning the dinner, then, HELL NO!! A man should never strike a woman nor should a woman try to put her hands on me. I don't believe in such behavior and you should try asking questions not in the stupid category from now on.

the only discipline I practice is SELF discipline. When my guy pisses me off to the point where I want to slug him, I have enough self control to walk away.

I know if he tried "corporal punishment" on me he'd have a fight on his hands.

If you mean by this do we honor each other and are we honest with each other and do we love each other .. then the answer is yes. The effect of this love for each other is wonderful and results in the two of us being as one.

If what you mean is a weird form of sadism - masochism... then that would be mental illness and the response to you would be "no".

NO ! That is called DOMESTIC VIOLENCE which the police will arrest you for, even if the other "spouse", may not want to press charges. For all who practice DD - I hope someone over hears, and calls the police !!!

No. I'm assuming that if you dish it you expect it as well. I think that would cheapen the relationship, and break trust and respect which are the main things needed for a loving relationship. Besides did you ever watch the "Burning Bed"?
