Anything made by William Castle. Lots of fun old scary movies that will give kids mild heebee jeebees and make grownups stifle laughter. They're very old (Vincent Price era), so there's no need to worry about inappropriate content. Have fun!

What about Darby O'Gill and The Little People. It's a fantastic Disney movie about an old man who sees a little leprechaun. It's got a very young Sean Connery in it. The scary part is the Banshee!!!

Most scary movies have higher ratings because of all the blood and gore, plus the language. It depends on what exactly you're permitting her to see.

Well, you didn't say how old your daughter is, but, I would recommend anything from M. Night Shymalan if she can stand a lot of dialogue. "The Sixth Sense" and "Lady In The Water" are more about suspense and the unknown rather than gore and blood. Also, she may enjoy "Signs" or "The Village".

Get 'nightmare before christmas', mildly scary for kids, entertaining for adults and a cracking film too. Jobs a good-un.

This sounds sad but I enjoyed Van Helsing (its only a 12 rating) buit it has vampires and warewolfes in it and has a couple of jumpy bits in it and no sex....im a bit of a wuss and get scared easily so this was fine for me ;)
