Try Rosie's Bakery for spectacular cakes. Boston location in South Station (as well as others in Cambridge, Newton, Wellesley, and Lexington).

Others with great taste are Hannaford's Supermarket in Waltham and White's Bakery in Canton.

I haven't been on Mass ave for two years or so but there used to be a place I think it is called "Nastys" and they make all types of body part cakes. If you were looking @ tower records you would go left towards the Mass ave bridge.
