The changing hormones can cause some irrational emotions when PMSing. I have this problem too, where I suddenly want to cry over the most minute things. My best solution is just to go with the desire, when you're at home of course just let it all out. Usually after one big cry I feel alot better and don't feel like it again until the next month. If it's too bad there are prescriptions a doctor can give you (either birth control pills or simple medication) that can help regulate your hormones so you don't have such a drastic change before menstruation.

no longer attempting to sound like a stressful guy, yet with regards to the only time I cry is by using loss of life. I genuinely tend to grow to be greater pissed than dissatisfied over issues. i assume i'm an fairly stereotypical male in that regard. Did Incubus of everybody rather in simple terms call somebody else a sociopath and a psychopath?

It's an actual symptom of PMS. The hormone influx can cause people to have certain moods. Most people are aware of the angry ones but for some women, they get really sad. I think there are some types of bc that help control pms symptoms. I'd see your MD and see what he/she can do to help.

I went through something like that, and at the time i was on birth control, it was a new birth control that i switched to. But It was around my cycle. I'm no longer on birth control and not having crying spells, it was like i would cry for no reason, any and everything made me emotional. You will get better. Good luck!!

Yes! that happens to me too and really it's just hormonal and that's what you have to kinda say. Atleast to your bf who thinks he did something wrong. Tell him it's TOM (time of the month) and that your hormones are playing tricks on you. As far as work that's a tough one, I usually run to the bathroom for a minute, or get some fresh air a drink of water take a few deep breaths. Have you tried taking any of the PMS medications that they have over the counter? sometimes those help. Or you can always talk to your Dr. and see what he/she can do to help...trust me you are not the only one w/this problem. Good Luck!

hormones, hormones hormones! just before a period our hormone levels can drop or increase drastically. there are some therapies that you can try but I have not found one that really works to alleviate that. i am the opposite with mine. a few days leading up to my period I get angry. I mean angry like I wanna eat glass! I am very irritable and aggitated at everything.

I feel this way too. As your hormone levels change before your period, you can feel really emotional. It's not your fault - it's the chemicals in your brain working overtime.
If your mood swings are really severe, you should talk to your gynecologist. He/she might suggest trying a low-dose birth control option to help level off the hormones that make you feel weepy.

Hormones are fluctuating!!! Just got out of balance....I did that with the pill one time, I was at work and first time taking this stuff, and in front of the computer I started balling, and my manager came up to me and said what is wrong, and I said I do not know...and it went away...to say the least I do not take that brand or pill anymore...it is all hormones...it is okay...talk to your gyno, they will be able to help you through this..

You're suffering from PMS: One of the symptoms is moodiness. There are herbal supplements said to be able to help with that sort of thing, such as raspberry leaf and lady's mantle, if you can get it. Keep in mind that I'm not an herbalist, so you'll want better information before you try it.
Or you could talk with your doctor about it and see what he suggests.
Good luck!

Sounds like classic PMS, or even PMDD.
Since it's really uncontrollable and is negatively impacting your daily life, it could be PMDD. The good news is there are great pills to treat it.
Talk to your doctor about your symptoms and point out their severity. Discuss PMDD and possible treatments.
