what do you guys think of the new smackdown vs raw 2008 game comming out the 13th! i cant wait its going to be awesome!

ive tried the smackdown vs raw 2008 demo at gamestop on the xbox 360 two weeks ago and im planning on getting it since i have an xbox 360

From what I've seen on IGN.com, it looks pretty much more of the same from THQ. WWE wrestling has become nothing more than the Madden of wrestling games, meaning they only change the rosters, update the storyline mode JUST ENOUGH to make it a little different, and pretty-fy the graphics a little moreso (now that they moved up to the 360 and PS3.)
Also, it's impossible to put out a list of wrestlers that everyone is happy with, but to leave out BOTH Tag Team chapmions for the past 4 years is unacceptable. Why bother even having those titles in the game if the best teams in WWE aren't even in the game (yes, there are no better teams than the Throwbacks, Londrick, and the such), in favor of adding worthless diva characters that NO ONE uses anyway. I still want to push London to the IC title...
Is the game going to sell? You bet. People will buy this game, but it'll probably only be played for a few months before the novelty wears off.
If you wish to play a good game, look into Fire Pro Wrestling Returns. Once you learn how to play the game, it's one of the deepest wrestling games avaliable now. Plus, while the Create-A-Wrestler mode is simplistic looking, I've seem some AMAZING likenesses released on the internet. I saw a Balls Mahoney that was dead on. Plus with thousands of wrestling moves (most of which aren't performed in American wrestling), it's a game that'll stay fun for a long time. However, keep in mind it's only avaliable for the PS2...

I played the demo on xbox 360. The graphics are slightly improved and the gameplay is a lot more fluid than last year. Also, playing with Rick Rude will be fun. The only thing I don't like about it is that you can't play career mode with the ECW stars.

i am gonna keep playing svr07 because of the big show and angle. also i created a bunch of wrestlers like hall nash sting etc.
