The heater may not be working. Also, you should clean the lint trap with every use.

Ok...since everyone has stated the obvious, I won't. Because I'm sure you do clean the lint trap on a regular basis and I'm also sure you know better than to stuff the dryer to the gills. So, I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest something radical. Run the dryer for a couple of minutes and put your hand near the outside vent. If you feel heat, then you know that there's nothing wrong with the heating elements. The electricity is working fine, or if it's a gas dryer, then the pilot light is lit. If not, then light the pilot light. You may need to call a repair man to find out what's going on inside. Even a stuffed dryer should take no more than an hour to dry clothes.

You might want to actually wash the lint trap with a toothbrush and soap. Apparently fabric softeners, liquid and sheet, can leave a residue that clogs them. Also, check to make sure that there isn't a lint clog in your vent hose. (The one that vents the hot air out of the house.) Both of those problems will increase drying time.

Some of the reasons dryers take longer is;
Overloaded
On low setting
Filter needs cleaning out
Venting hose, kinked
Heating element needs replacing
Hope this helps.

Clean the lint trap, make sure the vent hose is open and free of obstructions. If you still have a problem, it may be the heating element.

Clean out the fluff catcher and don't overload it! You need to have about half a drum of free space to ensure that the hot air circulates properly. Good luck.

I used to place my cellular quantity on a magnet to perceive which equipment i replaced into utilizing, when you consider that certainly one of my pals and that i often toted or repaid time on each others laundry to be super. additionally, random human beings will eliminate your laundry while they think of its performed so as that they do no longer could wait, so its sturdy to grant them the choice to call. figuring out your wash with a magnetic image could ward off the time thief from tempting your wrath or it may get your underclothes stolen in case you think of everybody could desire to accomplish that. in my view, I in no way worried approximately human beings stealing socks or something. Our laundry room is fundamental locked so in basic terms tenants get in. Either your washer isn't spinning enough water out of the clothing or your dryer isn't operating at the correct temperature.
