Should we round up all the illegals in America and throw them out, to lower the burden on American tax payers???

It is sad that some people will want them to stay ILLEGALLY.

keep in mind that if they were not hear Americans would do their jobs, but they would be getting a better wage.

Well, the cost of doing that would be high to begin with, but the savings after the first year will pay for it!!

I don't think we should round them up because there is not a good way to do it without violating the rights of legal citizens. I do believe that as we discover a person is illegal, they should be deported.

For instance, in Maricopa County (AZ) the police are checking for citizenship when someone is pulled over or being questioned. It is a big controversy here. If they are illegal, they are reported to ICE.

Hope this makes sense.

No. In the first place, the actual figures show that illegals are not a "burden on the taxpayer.." That is jsut a right-wing lie.

Second, if the neocons wanted to deal with the immigration mess, they wre in control of Congress for 12 years--so why didn't they?

We'll get immigration reform--but it will include amnesty and a guest worker program. The bigots on the right--who are the only ones who want to deport the illegals--won't like that. Tough. They had every opportunity to fix the problem for over a decade-and chose not to. They had their chance.

i liked that comment.... "they become productive members of society" Huh!?! Who picks your vegetables and your fruit? Who is there cleaning up after you in a hotel and making your beds? Who is bringing your food or better yet cooking it when you go a restaurant? Some of those same illegals. Someone will take about the lousy pay which is why American don't want them. If there is anyone who says that, I say take a long hard look in the mirror before you open your mouth. By sitting on your derrieres and either
a) not getting off it to vote or
b) voting in people who distinctly tell you by words and deeds that they don't give a rat a*s about you and put corporations ahead of you and give them the tax breaks instead of you, then you have no one else to blame but yourself when those same corporations use the "voodoo" of "trickle down economics" to shaft the consistently shrinking middle class of this country. They are the ones who set the pay scales, snap up farms to create mega- farm conglomerates with no restraint on them at all.
Here is a fact your government does not want you to know. A number of them (not all) PAY TAXES!!!!!! and I don't mean sales taxes.
In the early 1990's, the IRS created what is known as the individual tax identification number aka ITIN. With this number, illegals have been making payments to Uncle Sam. Some who did not know about the program, as soon as they found out,. did so to the IRS.
Now, as I said, granted not ALL pay into it but those that do want to contribute to the nation they live and should be able to do so. If they were sitting and collecting without contributing, then that is another story. There are MANY states in this union, that DO NOT give welfare to illegals- especially since they cannot prove they are citizens by being able to produce a Govt. issued ID - a requirement.
So, there will also be those that talk about their grand parent yadda yadda coming here to Ellis Island legally. Guess what, alot for them did not come here legally and ended up in quarantine for weeks, if not months. before they were allowed to stay.
Therefore, those who pay into the system, I say let them stay, those who don't, let them go.

That sounds like a very extremist way of taking care of the problem, not to mention a logistical nightmare. But there is no doubt the illegals should be identified, be made to pay stiff penalities and perhaps a percentage of them need to be shipped out. But that is all after we protect and seal our borders first, because if we don't then it's like dumping water out of a sinking boat that has a gaping hole in the side of it.

You don't mean that. I just say give them a chance. We should also force the places that are hiring them to pay people normal dollars and actully have them do safe stuff. The whole illegal aliens take the jobs americans don't want is bull ****. we don't want the jobs beucase they pay like crap and are unhealthy and or unsafe. You change that and there will be alot more jobs for everyone. Also we should try to change mexico into not being stupid and alittle less corrutpt like us. i don't know why canadians some here.

We wont have to round them up. Just stop giving them all the freebees and they will either become productive citizens or go home.

Who would pick all the fruits and vegetables? What about the yard work? Who is willing to work for minimum wage doing the crappiest jobs? Not me.

Yes--think of it like an investment--expensive at first, but it will pay off!!!

Those who say it is impossible just don't support doing that--it can be done.
