For those who question whether life has to have a meaning.
Obviously that question is important seeing that it is the most asked question on Y!A.
If life has a meaning, then it must have a purpose, i.e. a reason for our existence. Don't we all need a reason for being here?
But life has no purpose unless there is God:
“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (noted mathematician, philosopher and Nobel Laureate)
No one can truly face a purposeless, meaningless existence and so they invent "purposes" and then attach great importance to them. "Make a difference in the world", "live life to the fullest", "life is whatever you make out of it", etc. Great sounding but meaningless.
If God exists, He must have put our great need for meaning into our human nature to point us to seek Him. Only God can give real purpose and real meaning and that starts with seeking Him.

Life does not have to have a meaning.
Just live your life in peace. You achieve peace in your life if you live your life with integrity. and by accepting things the way they are. and moving on to positive thoughts.
very simple. some people try to make more out of life than it really is. success is not getting ahead. success is peace of mind. you can be a millionaire and the top in your field, but if you continue to push for more advancement. , you are never satisfied and never truly happy. the factory worker who is completely happy in his poor lifestyle, because he is satisfied with less is far more successful in life. if you are happy, you are successful.
