Even in a couple with everything in perfect working order, with perfect timing, there is only a 20-25% chance of conception each cycle.

Every woman with a regular cycle ovulates every month. The question is were you sexually active while you were ovulating? Ovulation is when the ovary releases an egg, then the sperm has to fertilize the egg, this happens in the fallopian tube and once it is fertilized it will travel down the tube and plant into the uterus, where your actual pregnancy occurs. Many things could've went wrong, maybe you didn't have sex at the right time? Maybe the egg was fertilized but never implanted? Or maybe you've got a tipped uterus, thus making it harder for the sperm to get to the egg? If you are just starting to try to conceive, you should give it some time.. use the ovulation meter and have sex on the highest day. If you have been at this for a while, it may be a good idea to see a doctor to find out why you haven't become pregnant yet. Best of luck!

It may be a lots of other factors.

A doctor can throw some light on this. But have your partner tested for things like sperm count.

Every thing now a days can be corrected so both must see a fertility specialist.

Conceiving

By

minootoo.

See a gynecologist with your husband. The doctor may ask your husband to see an urologist with you. He may need to have sperm count done also.

This way you will eliminate any health problem that might be keeping you from conceiving, by medicating them or correcting it with procedures.

Gynecologist will give a kit, it is a natural method to conceive, it will have instructions some blank charts for record keeping and it will have a thermometer to check temperature, under the breast of the female partner.

Make sure you read the instruction in the office and ask the doctor whatever you do not understand; doctor or nurse on duty will explain it to you and the partner.

Conceiving is a perfect science.

In perfect conditions, there is only a 20-25% chance of getting pregnant each cycle.

Ovulation is not the only thing that matters in getting pregnant. Fertile cervical mucus is very important and so is healthy sperm. You must have all three in order to conceive. And then once you conceive your body must produce the right hormones to sustain the pregnancy and the egg must implant properly.

Even though some people make getting pregnant look easy, its really quite complicated.

And:
-When having baby sex, do not use lube (KY Jelly, astroglide, etc) it renders sperm immobile. If you want to use lube, use preseed. (Preseed promotes a sperm friendly atmosphere. You insert it 10 minutes prior to having sex.) http://www.preseed.com/
-Do not douche or use scented tampons. They alter the acidity of the vagina.
-Do not have oral sex when you are having baby sex. Saliva can kill sperm.

This can be because of several factors
There could be a small blockage in the fallopian tube.
It may also be because of low sperm count thus not allowing enough swimmers enough time to get to there destination.
Now don't laugh at this but if your partner was not penetrated all the way at the time of ejaculation this could also be a possible cause.
There are also different schools of thought on the position of the uterus when the ejaculation occurs.

Because ovulation is a natural part of women anatomy. It happens all the time to plenty of women.

just because you ovulate, doesn't mean you will get preggers. you ovulate every month, unless you are outta whack, or on birth control.

you get preggers when the egg and sperm join up....that is conception. if conception doesn't occur then your body won't produce the hormones, and your period will start.

thus the process starts all over again

For me, I wasn't getting pregnant because my mucus wasn't good enough for the sperm to get to the cervix. It could be many other things!

The men's sperm just happens to go the wrong way... or they are too shy... something...

It happens... no one REALLY knows why... maybe there wasn't enough sperm in there to cover enough ground to implant?
