I went through like 15-20 home preg tests before I finally got a positive 4 days before my next missed period. I used the otc ones and a few from the hospital I work at, all were neg. I was disappointed, but really sure I was pg. I had all of the same things you are experiencing. You can either hang tight till you get a + pee test or go to a doctor and get your blood tested. It is much more sensitive than urine

It just all depends honestly. Depends on the level of your pregnancy hormones, specifically talking about your HCG. Some women have been known to get positive results(1-3 or so) days prior to their missed period. This is just because their HCG levels have gone up much faster than another women's hormone levels. Some women's HCG levels tend to hun higher, other times it's because the pregnancy is a twin or multiple. Generally speaking,it's better to wait at least until the day your period is missed. So if you are pregnant, you don't get a false negative - due to your HCG levels not being high enough yet to register on a home pregnancy test. *When you do test, test first thing in the morning. That is the time of day where your HCG levels are the most concentrated. In early pregnancy, this is the best time of day to test.

A friend of mine who was 38 at the time and not planning on babies missed her period for a couple months. Saw a Dr. all tests were negative for pregnancy and they actually thought she was pre-menopausal and they gave her hormones. When that didn't make her period come and after almost 5 months they did and ultrasound.....LOW and BEHOLD!!!! A BABY GIRL =)
It was a total shocker because she didn't get any pregnancy symptoms and she wasn't getting very big on he belly area, I actually saw her when she was almost 4 months and could not tell any difference. CRAZY....The baby is fine, she's actually a beautiful girl w/green eyes and is almost 2 years old.
So if none of those tests are positive ask for an ultrasound, cause what if it's a cyst, fibroids or something else?? Better safe than sorry.

For some people the over the counter pregnancy tests just do not work. Its possible you could be pregnant. Try and relax the next 2 days until your blood test is done. Once it is done you should be able to find out that day if you are pregnant.

Most OTC pregnancy tests are on the order of 99% accurate - they can be as acurate, and sometimes more so than the tests used in medical labs!
Some women, if the desire is there, can exhibit signs of a phantom pregnancy...up to her breasts expressing in the "later" stages of her "pregnancy," much as a woman whom actually as pregnant would do.
However, presuming you are not one of those rediculously rare ladies...go see a doctor NOW, you symptomology, while a possible indication of pregnancy, could also be a sign of a viral or bacteriological infection.

The same happend to me for a while..I had all the symptoms and tests kept coming back negative..i even had a blood test done and even that came back negative..just yesterday i took a first response and it FINALLY came back positive..so dont give up hope on seeing your positive. You probably just dont have enough hormone in your system to be detected through urine. Good Luck!

The same thing happened to me with my son! I had to wait 2 weeks after my missed period to get a postive! I acutally went in the doctors office to get a blood test, & they gave me a pregnancy test & it was postive! Some people are different!! But dont stress to much, you could cause your body to think that you are pregnant!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

my friend just found she was a month pregnant and she has those signs. she had been trying to get pregnant for a year and a half! why dont you just go to a clinic RIGHT NOW. and take a pee test there instead of doing it at home. then you dont have to fret as much as you are!!
