Well I have never met a guy with the name Riley or Rylee, so I guess that makes me and the other woman even. I have heard people say they are going to name their daughters and sons that name... personally I'm due in 2 weeks and we're naming our daughter Elizabeth Riley. I liked it as a first name, but my husband wanted a more "old-fashioned" first name that could still be shortened for nicknames..

Riley is a boys name. Why do people want their girls to have a boys name? All the Riley's I know or have met are boys or adult men.

I think it is much cuter for a little girl than a little boy. But I still have to go with it being a trendy name right now. Which is fine, as long as you are okay with having a lot of them around her age range (and probably more of them being boys). But I do like the sound of it. Just depends on how 'different' you wanted her name to be.

Riley is ok for a girl. It ranked #55 in 2006; 5,017 other little girls will have that name in her age group.
