My 8 month old nephew has it all! His grandparents buy him nearly everything he could ever want. For example, he has 3 different kinds of exosaucers and the jungle jump up. He has EVERYTHING! And more clothes than you can imagine! I love the little guy and he is visiting in a couple weeks. What can I get for the 8 month old that has everything?

I'm guessing you want to give him something tangible, rather than a gift certificate. Board books are always a great gift & I'm sure he doesn't have every book on the market yet. Hats, socks and pacifiers are always good too--they always seem to get lost...bubbles are very entertaining for babies and inexpensive....music CD's or Baby Einstein or Sesame Street DVD's....just a few ideas for you. Good luck!

If you have experienced people working with him, then you may be ok. I'll just point out that the costs of buying a weanling usually outweigh buying an older horse.... 1st vaccinations are more expensive, getting him gelded wont be cheap, etc etc. Plus you wont be able to ride him for at least three years. While I agree that all want to get horses out of bad places, also consider the fact that by buying him, you are providing a market to these bad breeders. If no-one bought the foals, they would give up breeding....

Toys break and get ignored!

Buy a savings bond! I do that for my God Children at birthdays and holidays. You can get a 50.00 one for 25.00 at the bank. When they are older they can either cash them in for $$ or save them even longer!

*saving bonds are not the BEST investment...HOWEVER you don't have (i'm guessing.... if you are like me) $500.00 or more to open a mutual fund*

An 8 month old (or a 5 year old for that matter) will not notice that you did not give a "present" and Mom and Dad will appreciate less junk and the $$ for the future.

If he is anything like my daughter... Anything that has to do with the Wiggles! Or, you can get him a toy. Anything by Leap Frog. They have some really cute toys! Very educational too! Good Luck! =)

Well, does he have any of those things they can learn to walk with? You know the ones that have wheels and they hold on to and walk behind? My son is 7 months and we are gonna get him one because he has started cruising from couch to couch so he would love to be able to walk around with one of those...
