I've played both on and off for 15 years. I'm not bad at either one, but I am a better tennis player. Here's why I choose tennis...

1) unless you walk 18 holes, tennis is a much better workout.

2) both are expensive, but tennis is much less expensive, it can be downright cheap if you live in a place where public courts are free (I don't, though)

3) compare pro golfers to pro tennis players - male or female. Who's better looking? :)

From a spectator standpoint, I would rather watch tennis instead of golf...that is, of course, if Tiger Woods is not playing.

But there's nothing like a relaxing round of golf with your best buddies if you can afford it. I think playing nine holes is the best way to go to get the most enjoyment out of this game if you are an amateur.

And even though I like playing tennis, there's nothing relaxing about the game. I play to get a good workout...but it is less expensive than golf.

i play tennis and love tennis, but i have to say "golf".
through the years of playing tennis i am relatively injure-free, however, lately i starting to feel the knee and joint pain.
tennis is a harsh sports, lots of stop and go, side to side, front and back movements, it will wear and tear on you.
look at the pro level tennis player, they retire at very young age (30 something) while golf player can still compete in their 50s and 60s.
again, i absolutely love tennis, but golf is more of a "life time" sports
