Time will never completely heal me but time does makes the pain a little duller and easily to cope with.

I am living proof that Time Heals Everything!

Well, now that I think about what I'm going through, I'd agree with that statement.
But, if it ever does get better I may pretend I have and was always fine. But, for right now, yes - I'm proof. So far all the years I've spent "sticking my finger in the dam" and playing the "little dutch boy" haven't fixed my issues and for all my hopefulness it may never fix it.
I wish that time could heal it.

Yes, very much so. Only YOU can heal yourself... time has nothing to do with it...

People could go on for eternity with no healing. It's the recognition that something needs to be healed that essentially gets the ball rolling.

No....

There are some times in our lives we are going to have to learn to endure the pain from whatever trails we are going through in our lives. We have to except that we are going to have to go through the fire.

In times like these we will learn that TIME is our friend, and will heal all wounds even while the scars will remain to remind us of a lesson learned. Pain is essential in our lives for growth when we don't listen at times to wisdom.

Ah quite the contrary time does heal if you want it to and are able to let things go.
