Lets see....
Bring Me The Horizon, they're heavy and brutal, yet very melodic. They can put on a hell of a show.

Beneath The Sky, heavy and great to mosh to.

Bullet For My Valentine, been to their show twice. They're pretty good live, but sound exactly like they do on their records. They don't jump around on stage either. But overall a great, band to listen to.

Chiodos is a mixture of heavenly singing and screaming. There's a mixture of keyboards and guitars, which sounds great. Craig has an amazing voice considering he can sing a song like "Lindsey Quit Lollygagging" and then on another track scream murder.

The Devil Wears Prada songs are so catchy. A lot of bands only scream and have no melody in their music, but not TDWP.

Escape The Fate. Ronnie has one of the most amazing voices I've heard. Even if he didn't scream, I could listen to him sing all day. Max plays great bass. The band is purely talented, and great for all audiences.

The Medic Droid, a mix of techno and rock. Chris has a cool voice, a little gay sounding at times, but they're good.

Metallica, what can you say about them that hasn't already been said? They're are the deffinition of hard rock.

On The Last Day, hmm.... good until Carson entered the band. Meaning In The Static is original and unique. A one of a kind album.

Some people have waaayyy too much free time, I like to get straight to the point.

1.Pink Floyd- Come on.. do I need to elaborate?
2. Led Zeppelin- Pioneers of Rock and some of the greatest songs ever.
3. Metallica (the good years 1983-1991) Broke through barriers no other Heavy Metal band had ever done before.
4. Aerosmith- When you have written as many good songs as these guys have since the 1970's, you have earned your keep.
5. The Cure- Say what you want about their image or singing, but they have influenced and spawned countless numbers of new bands.

actually, the person with the best and longest list wins TEN points..

The Beatles.. They are very versatile musicians.. they experimented in many different styles, and their songs are all UNIQUE and beautiful..

Led Zeppelin.. because they are the ultimate heavy metal band.. just listen to Whole Lotta Love and you'll see why

Pink Floyd.. Their music has such a nice psychedelic feel t it.. i just can't get enough of it

Queen.. Freddy Mercury (lead singer and keyboardist) was a musical genius.. It's really a shame he died so young.. who knws what else he could have created..

Elton John.. I know he's not a band, but I had to mention him as he's one of my favourites.. an excelelnt piano player and a wonderful lyricist.. listen to Your Song and Someone Saved My Life Tonight..

Dire Straits.. SImply a great band!

The Eagles.. i don't normally like country music, but they blow me away.. Hotel California is possibly one of my top 5 songs of all time

Foreigner.. THEY JUST ROCK!

now for newer stuff..

Coldplay... I especially like their songs w/ piano, like The Scientist or Clocks.. the lead singer, CHris Martin, has an amazing voice

Snow Patrol... ANother great new band from Northern Ireland.. Their music is very unique and much better than the rest .. today's music is pretty much crap

Radiohead.. Everybody says Creep , their first hit, was their best song ever.. i honestly don;t agree.. Exit Music (For a Film), my Iron Lung, Karma Police, Fake Plastic Trees are great songs..

Incubus.. their songs always put me in a good mood

Nickelback.. they're fun to listen to when I'm in the mood for some loud, angry, grungy music.. they kind of remind me of Nirvana..

Maroon 5.. Their music is fun, light, and perfect for easy listening..

3 Doors Down.. I just love the lead singer's voice and their songs are simply awesome..

Well there you have it, some of my favourite bands

Deep Purple - Great songs

The Doors - Question is: What's not to like about them?

1.The Beatles....simply the best band ever. Love their solo stuff too.
2. Queen...Freddy Mercury had a great voice, Brian May is an amazing guitarist and John Deacon is awesome on the base.
3.Kiss...probably not great musicians but I love how over the top and theatrical they are.
4.Barenaked Ladies...great funny lyrics. Great music.
5.B-52's...also great lyrics and fun dance music.
6.The Scissor Sisters...basically the same reason as the B-52's.
7. R.E.M....Thoughtful lyrics. Like their kind of country/folk vibe. I've been a fan since high school.
8. James Taylor...I saw him live on TV and he is an amazing performer.
9. Kaiser Chiefs...Fun incredibly catchy music.
10. Squeeze...I love the combination of Glenn Tilbrook's tenor voice combined with Chris Difford's lower voice. I love how so many of their songs tell a story. Difford is a brilliant lyricist.
11. The Bee Gees...I love disco and they were the masters of it. Their earlier stuff is great too.
12. The Rolling Stones...great blues influenced stuff. Often overshadowed by the Beatles but they're a great band.
13. David Bowie...I've just started getting into him but his stuff was innovative and unique.
14. The Monkees...I love the TV show and their music is just fun. It was written by some of the best songwriters of the time.
15. The Who...they were one of the first really good "hard rock" bands.
16. ELO...I just love the way their music sounds. I've really been getting into them lately. Apparently everyone else is too since they use their music is so many commericals.
17. Bon Jovi...I was a teen in the '80's and Bon Jovi was one of the best "hair bands" out there. They also put on a great live show.
18. Def Leppard...the first "hard rock" band I got into. Joe Elliot isn't a great vocalist but I like their overall sound. "Photograph" "Pour Sugar on Me" "Foolin'" Need I say more.
19. Journey...They bring back fond memories of junior high and Steve Perry has a great voice.
20. Aerosmith...They're a great band and frankly after reading their autobiography, I'm amazed these guys are still alive and kickin' and making great music.
21. Duran Duran...the best band of the early MTV age.
22. Crowded House...more known in England and Australia but they have some great songs. "Don't Dream it's Over" "Weather with You" "Something so Strong."
23. David Gray...I like his voice and the melancholy vibe of many of his songs. Sometimes, I want to hear low key stuff.
24. Jack Johnson...I like his kind of hippy laid back vibe. I never get tired of hearing "Banana Pancakes."
25. The Darkness...retro, silly and great fun!
26. Red Hot Chili Peppers...just kind of funky and cool. I love "Can't Stop." I was so happy when they made it available on itunes!

I'm over 30 so I tend to be more of a classic rock kind of person. I also put some solo artists on my list so I don't know if that counts.

The Rocket Summer- awesome poppy one man band
Taking Back Sunday- great band
Fall Out Boy- listen to their old stuff, not the new stuff (take this to your grave is the best album)
Dashboard Confessional- amazing lyrics and absolutely amazing live
The Medric Droid- slightly techno, awesome band
Mariana's Trench- great Canadian band, really catchy
Voxtrot- "Start of Something" is the best song ever
Death Cab for cutie- just awesome
Cute is what we aim for- the singer has such an amazing, unique voice
The Darkness- unbeatable high notes
Brand New- if you like heavier stuff
Escape the Fate- more emo, but amazing stuff.

Okay well those are my favourites

Barenaked Ladies - their music is quirky but fun

Distrubed - probably the only "metal" band I like, I generally like softer music, but their stuff always pumps me up - and their concerts are really fun

Diana Krall - not a bad but the best jazz vocalist today

Everything but the Girl - I actually despise the song "Missing" which is the one most everyone knows, but the rest of their stuff is good, ranging from light rock to techno

Radiohead - I'm not sure what their appeal is, but their music is pretty interesting to listen to

Avril Lavigne - also not a band, but I think her music is pretty fun and peppy, I'm impressed by the fact that she writes most of her music so it seems more heartfelt and less over-produced

Maroon 5 - I like the lighter, different sounds that they produce, not so much pop or rock but a completely different genre all together

Linkin Park - more of a rock sound but not as obnoxious as most rock bands in terms of listening to their music, it has a good beat

Enigma - great music to chill to!

Evanescence - ethereal, Amy Lee's voice is awesome, lyrics are very poignant

I usually listen to artists rather than bands, and I have a pretty wide range of musical tastes.
