Because it's emotionally draining! Women always put everyone else before their own needs and over time, women become worn out emotionally. Always tending to someone else doesn't allow you to do anything for yourself and after awhile, you start to die inside. Men may work full time jobs, but don't help around the house because they think they've done enough. Being a wife and mother is 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, there are no vaction days or breaks because something ALWAYS has to be taken care of in the house! Most men don't realize how much work goes into running a house and taking care of kids because women do it all!

Yeah I don't know I've stayed home for 3 months and am very bored. Ready to go back to work!! I guess if they had a large social network of other moms or they had hobbies of their own to do it wouldn't be so bad. Most of my single girlfriends stopped wanting to hang out with me once I was married with a kid. I'm 24 and feel like an old maid sitting at home all the time.

HEHEHE they just keep getting better huh? Well, yes we do. I am a married woman we have 3 boys ages 5, 3 and 6 mos. I did the barefoot and pregnant, but he held the frying pan in one hand and a baby in the other. I am the breadwinner in this family, and I think it's wonderful for a man to spend his days with his kids.

because it is the 20th century and we now have the same rights as a man dose. raising children is the hardiest job of them all . I bet you couldn't go a month at home 24/7 with the kids and doing all the hose work , cooking and take time for your wife . You'd loose your mind . I would love to be a stay home mom , but if i did that we wouldn't have a home for long and i ain't one to live of welfare

Haha I would love to do that! I wanna be that house wife that takes care of her husband and kids at home, I think thats what women are for. I believe a women should cater to her man, especially if he is the main bread winner. Women these days are so selfish.

I am barefoot and pregnant. I am happy being a stay at home mom, and I'm not complaining. I don't have a man to support me.

Its called EMANCIPATION and the likes of Suffragettes worked hard so we women wouldnt have to stay at home cooking and cleaning for 'our men'. For gods sake its 2007 NOT 1907.
You stay at home with the kids, cleaning and cooking and see how you like it!
Are you married?
