I tend to agree with the now deceased Carl Sagan. As large as the universe is, it's very likely that there are many planets capable of supporting life. In other words, he firmly believe that intelligent life existed elsewhere. But, he made another important point. Our galaxy is a spiral galaxy, and Earth is located near the tip of one of the two spiral arms. If you were an explorer (alien visitor), and you were searching the Milky Way Galaxy, where would you look? At the remote spiral arm, or in the center of the galaxy where there are the most stars, and your odds of success are greater?

Sagan believed that there is intelligent life, but it hasn't found us, and likely never will ... we're far too remote.

I don't believe them. I think being visited by aliens is possible. But I think most of the stories I hear fall in the conspiracy-theory or govornment-cover-up genre. It also seems like the aliens are always pictured to be human-like with a few features changed(like bug eyes or something) which leads me to doubt them. I mean, I don't see any reason why aliens would have to be like humans(stand upright on two legs, have fingers, two eyes and so on)

Real or Not Real?

where is Howie Mandel when you need him?

I saw 3 answers before me and expected "Real" "Not Real" and "Maybe"... i was disappointed... it was 2 for Not, 1 for Maybe.

i vote "NOT REAL"... do you really need someone to tell you that little green men aren't real? what are you, 12? Okay, lets make a list:

UFOs: real (hey... read the U)

Flying Saucers: not real

"The Internets": real

Leprechauns: real... well, okay, sorta

Evolution: real

Big Bang: real (stephen hawking still believes, so do i)

Pink Princesses of Planet Playtex: i wish

Not real. Not ever real. No aliens are visiting Earth or in communication with people on Earth. They may exist on distant planets, but none are coming here. At least not now.
